Description

Petition of Jane HART, wife of Thomas HART. Thomas now in service in Ireland. Jane states that her husband has been a faithful soldier of the state, under the command of Captain John COLBORNE. He had served in Cornwall, Dunster Castle, Barnstaple and the three seiges of Taunton. During his service he had received a 'cutt' from the enemy. Jane is not able to get any maintenance for herself and her poor children. She has often requested relief from the Justices, and now makes a further request. Testified that Thomas HART is a faithful soldier by John COLBOURNE and Richard BOVETT. Samuel WHETCOMBE.

[Sequestrator] [Endorsed] Nothing until further examination. 12d. per week by the parish unless cause to the contrary.
