The school was founded by William Onneslo during the reign of Henry VIII, when he gave a piece of land to four trustees. Trusteeship appears to have passed from father to son and an indenture would be drawn up to appoint new trustees. The items here relate to the 19th century and include a large degree of correspondence relating to the various trustees of the school.
