/4 Bargain and sale, Thomas Butler of Ludlow gent and Elizabeth his wife, and Humphrey Wheeler of the Inner Temple, London, gent, to Adam Lutley of Bromcroft, gent, of farms and lands in Sheriffs Ledwich alias Over Ledwich in the occupation of Margery Browne and Francis Browne her son, and Roger Mascoll and Henry Mascoll his son on lease from Thomas Wheeler late of Ludlow and Elizabeth his wife; and the manor of Sheriffs Ledwich and the advowson of the church or chapel there. 2 Sep 1587

/5 Exemplification in the court of the Council in the Marches of Wales. Thomas Crumpe's title to a messuage and lands in Ledwich is based on a deed of partition of 30 Apr 1489 between the heirs of Thomas Mordeford. The manor place of Sheriffs Ledwich and a moiety of the advowson were allotted to Isabel, widow of Thomas Stanwardyn. The other moiety of the advowson was allotted to Allen Stanwardyn senior and Alice his wife. 20 Mar 1597. Marked 'C No 2'
