Contains correspondence of Mr. Robert Plenderleith, Secretary and Superintendent of the Middlemore Homes, with representatives of the Fairbridge Farm Schools, primarily Mr. Gordon Green, Secretary and from August 1947, Mr. H.T. Logan, Acting Secretary. The correspondence concerns the accommodation of Fairbridge children at Middlemore Homes and the accommodation of Middlemore Homes children at Benington prior to emigration, also arrangements for the emigration of named children to Fairbridge Farm Schools in Canada and Australia and details of the after-care of individual children. The file also contains copies of some correspondence between Mr. Paul Cadbury and Sir. Charles Hambro, Chairman of Fairbridge Farm Schools concerning the financial arrangements between the two organisations.
