Immediate source of acquisition: The records of Edward Keyte were donated by A E R Keyte of 20 Collinswood Drive, St Leonards on Sea in May 1973.
Administrative / biographical background: Edward Keyte was foreman blacksmith to the Paddington vestry and the records supply details of the quantity and type of work undertaken between 1889 and 1905. The 1891 census records Edward G Keyte (aged 32) and family living at 8 Saltram Villas, Shirland Road. His occupations is given as "farrier" and place of birth as Paddington. Also recorded are his wife Elizabeth (aged 30) and three children all born in Paddington, John H (aged 6), Edward F (aged 4) and Elizabeth T (aged 1).
