Returns thanks for the prayers of the Church and all his friends especially the Dean and his brethren of the Chapter. Has been recommended to try the baths at Homburg and hopes to go away in the autumn so that he is able to take his part again in the duties of the Cathedral.
Dated: 20 Jul [no year given, but written when recovering from a bad illness which he had on return from a much enjoyed holiday at Naples with the Meuricoffres in the spring of 1886 writing very shaky].
