Mr Dyson was born in Richardson Road, Eccles in c. 1910 and later lived at 20, Birkdale Grove, Eccles. His mother was from Southport and his father originated from Ardwick and later lived in Southport. Mr Dyson had a brother Albert born in Leeds and a sister Amy born in Southport. Mr Dyson's wife, Winifred nee Ward, is from Barton. Her father used to attend St Catherine's School, Eccles.
