Annual returns giving names, professions and residence of members of the Lodge held in the Seventy-Sixth Regiment [Antients] and general correspondence relating to the running of the lodge. Includes correspondence concerning the issuing of warrants for several other regiments.

Administrative / biographical background

The unnamed lodge was established in 1771 and was held in the Seventy-Sixth Regiment. In 1788 the regiment was based at Chatham, Kent and the lodge met at an unknown location within Chatham Barracks. In 1802 the regiment left Chatham and the lodge moved with them, firstly to the East Indies but then to locations across England, Ireland, Jersey and India. The lodge was erased in 1828.
