Records of Hastings Corporation (formally titled the Mayor, Jurats and Commonalty of the Town and Port of Hastings) prior to its reform under the Municipal Corporations Act 1835. Records of the reformed corporation, of the improvement commissions in Hastings and St Leonards, of the county borough council which succeeded them in 1889, and of Hastings Borough Council, a district within the Administrative County of East Sussex established in 1974, are listed in DH.
