Although the records (P82/GIS/2-4) have been assigned the reference of St Giles-in-the-Fields, their condition and the dearth of internal evidence make it impossible readily to establish the parish for which they were originally compiled. They were found, however, among the archives of the Holborn Board of Guardians.
