Administrative / biographical background

Introduction

The Westminster Wardens' Association came into being following an inaugural meeting held on 28th June 1945 at Livingstone Hall, Broadway, to which around two hundred former wardens attended. By 1974 the membership had declined to 81 and the funds of the association were exhausted. This material provides a valuable insight into the activities of this organisation.
