The Barry Lodge [or No. 17 Provincial] was established and named in 1783. In 1783 the lodge was held in the Thirty-fourth Regiment, Quebec, Canada. In 1788 the regiment left Canada for England and the lodge then met at an unknown location in Oswestry, Shropshire. In 1788 the lodge left Oswestry, and started meeting at the Trumpet Inn, Mardol, Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Barry Lodge was erased in 1813.
