(deeds from 1654; includes family matters); John Pattenson and son Christopher of Penrith thence Carleton Hall, gent. thence Esq. (deeds from 1709; includes family matters); and Simpson of Penrith (deeds from 1738). Other parties were (in date-order): Atkinson, Idle, Scott, Lowther of Lowther, Bt. (mortgagee), Teasdell of Lowther (do.), Smith, Browne, Harrison, Martin, Oxnard, Turner of Boltongate, Dawson, Nelson, Airey, Bleamires, Brown of Eamont Bridge, Sisson.
