Commons and wastes in all townships 1945ac; common fields 1056ac in Sherburn and Lennerton, 572ac in Barkston Ash, 253ac in Church Fenton, 114ac in Little Fenton, 14ac in Biggin; meadow and pasture 64ac in Sherburn, 67ac in Barkston Ash [Award includes Biggin Green]. Act 10 Geo III c.39 (Private) 1770. Award 12 July 1775. Establishes acreages of inclosed lands: Sherburn & Lennerton 2011ac; Barkston Ash 220ac, Church Fenton 1136ac, Little Fenton 419ac, Biggin 448ac. Extinguishes all great and small and vicaral tithes in Sherburn & Lennerton, Barkston Ash, Church Fenton, by awarding allotments on lands to be inclosed to tithe owners in lieu of tithes of same & in lieu of tithes of garths, old inclosed lands & c in the townships. Extinguishes all great and small tithes in Little Fenton and Biggin by awarding allotments to tithe owners on lands to be inclosed in lieu of tithes of same & in lieu of old inclosed lands & c in the townships. Commissioners: William Hill, Tadcaster; John Graves, York; William George Nicholson, Cawood; John Outram, Killam; John Cleaver, late of Castle Howard, now Earburton, Notts.
