Mary Anne Boulton died at Soho on Sunday, 7 June 1829, of a puerperal fever occurring upon the birth of her last child. “This event cast a gloom over the Parish. The Works were closed till after the funeral, which took place on Tuesday the 16th at Handsworth Church and was interred in a Vault in the Church. There were 8 Mourning Coaches and 16 Private Carriages with Hearse and 6. The road along the whole route was lined with spectators and such a funeral procession had not been seen for several years before.” [ M.R.B. General, 1820 (under S. Keen, T.
