The correspondence covers the history and activity of the Mothers' Union in the dioceses in question, concerning in particular: personnel, training, finances and resources; membership, especially of the unmarried or divorcees, and constitutional matters; missionary and development work; MU literature including in the vernacular; creating branches and links with home dioceses; attitudes towards marriage and family life; local traditions and culture; the formation of bride schools (classes focusing especially on marriage preparation). It should be noted that this description is indicative of the topics covered in the series and should not be taken to imply that every subject is covered in each diocesan file.
