This series contains a modern calendar or list of wills, administration 'admon' bonds, renunciations and inventories filed in the Archdeaconry Court of Middlesex, 1608/9 - 1810.
Renunciations relate to the giving up of the grant by the next-of-kin or creditors of the testator, which was given to them to deal with the deceased's estate.
Bonds were entered into by administrators often next-of-kin or creditors to agree to faithfully to carry out their responsibilities, in cases where when a person died without making a will intestate. They include the names of the administrators and occupations, relationship to the deceased and the sum of the bond.
Inventories list the deceased's goods and chattels often room by room, debts owing to him or her, and were prepared and presented in court as part of the probate process the proving of wills and related testamentary business.
