Part 2 covers numbers 119-238 (folios 234-406) from the first index and numbers 1-116 (folios 425-467) from the second index. The papers which were originally numbered 25-64 are noted in the second index as having been removed and transferred to another (unspecified) Guard Book. The index gives the description for these papers as:. Numbers 152 and 229 from the first Index have not been used. Folios 407-424 comprise the index to the second half of the Guard Book. The numbering system used in the Index does not, except on rare occasions, use even numbers. Numbers 115-119 (folios 467-469) are all part of the same item but have been split between Parts 2 and 3. Numbers 115-116 (folio 467) being in Part 2 and Numbers 117-119 (folios 468-369) being in Part 3.

The volume originally contained Papers on the Hyderabad Assigned Districts and Berar and Mysore Administration, which were numbered as 25-64 and would have been located between folios 439 and 440. These papers were removed in the nineteenth century and transferred to another volume, according to the index. According to the description in the index the papers related to officers employed in the administration of these areas and matters relating to their pay and processing of pay certificates.
