F.H. White was born in Hackney in 1904, and resident in Upper Clapton for all his life. He worked as a tea blender. He was elected to Hackney Council in 1936; he subsequently became chairman and secretary of Southwold Ward of the North Hackney Labour Party. He continued to serve as a Councillor until 1956 and was deputy Mayor for 1955. he died in 1984.
