Lieutenant James Albert Eadie, 9th Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, attached Machine Gun Corps, was killed in action on 27 May 1918. He is commemorated on the Soissons Memorial, France
James Albert Eadie was born in Cambuslang, Lanarkshire on 7 January 1895. Educated at West Coats, Cambuslang and Glasgow University. Commissioned into the 9th Battalion Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders in September 1915. He was killed in action in France on 27 May 1918, aged 23 years, whilst on attachment to the 21st Battalion M.G.C. Having no known grave his name is commemorated on the Soissons Memorial. With copied service papers and casualty details.
