Description (What the record is about)
-
The diaries describe the progress on each particular job currently in hand, noting site visits, meetings etc, with some costings given. They are written in the first person, but there is no indication of the writer: it is not P J Clarke, or Mr Clarke (presumably the senior Clarke) who are both mentioned in the text. Unfortunately the diaries are not indexed: lists of clients dealt with during a single month in 1911, 1917 and 1929 give some idea of the range of work undertaken.
