Appeal of John Anstis of St. Germans against his agreement of apprenticeship of 6 Jan. 1743/4 with the parish of Menheniot in respect of Mary Stephens (9), (value £70 p.a.) a poor child, for the barton of Patreda which he had managed as hind of Lady Stawen [of London] for the past 6 years whilst living in St. Germans, the dwelling-house of the barton having been occupied for the past 3½ years by David Chinnick, farm lab.: apprenticeship agreement confirmed.
