A manuscript copy of a printed work by the Muggletonian John Saddington (d. 1679): 'A prospective-glass for saints and sinners: Whereby may appear and be seen, 1. The authors life expressed in the first epistle. 2. That there is no true peace of mind, in those that account themselves believers so long as they lead a corrupt life. 3. What great enemies the riches of this world, and poverty are to truth. 4. What that truth and true knowledge is, which giveth satisfaction to the mind of man in this life. And several other things necessary to salvation. By John Saddington, a true believer of the witness of the spirit, sent forth by the immediate voice of God almighty, in the year 1651' [London], 1673. ESTC citation no.: R38136. The copy is undated, but written on paper watermarked 1809 (eg. pp. 105-6). Pasted in at p. ii is an engraving of Lodowicke Muggleton (1609-1698) by G.V. Casseel, captioned: 'Lodowick Muggleton Dyed the 14 of March 1697/8: then aged 88 years 7 months: & 14 Dayes.'
