The Sunday School was built by the Methodist New Connexion in 1815 and was used for worship until the building of Macclesfield, Park Street Chapel in 1836 (see EMS 5). It was used as a Day School 1872-1911. Day School records are in the series of School Records (Ref. SL 78). The Sunday School was closed in 1963 and subsequently sold to Macclesfield Amateur Dramatic Society.
