As the Admiralty have flatly refused to accept air motor starting for more than a very limited number of Wyvern aircraft and the Guanadine turbo-starter still seems a long way off, we are urgently investigating possible alternative means of starting the Python. Electric starting seems to be out of the question as the Admiralty will not accept a 112 volt system, and we have no 24 volt starter capable of doing the job. Even if we had, I am afraid its weight and bulk would be prohibitive
