Description

Archive of the firm of Nock and Joseland and its predecessor partnerships: Richard Timmis, Timmis & Woodcock, Richard Woodcock, Harris & Edmunds, and Nock & Chase, chartered surveyors, estate agents, valuers and auctioneers.

The archive is arranged in seven subgroups, corresponding to the different but interlocking functions of the firm: adminstrative records (A), financial records (B), client files (C), valuations (D), plans (E), and sales material (F). Subgroup (G) records relating to turnpike trusts, appears to stand alone.

Unless specified otherwise in the title of an individual catalogue record, all items are from the period during which the partnership of Nock and Joseland flourished.
