10 Sept. Drainage scheme in course of construction "across Mr. Harris's field towards the Grotto" [in Churchdown]
A collection is in progress for a wedding present to be given to Dr. Foster. The author contributes 2s/6d.
13 Sept. Gas is being conducted from Gloucester to Churchdown - pipes being laid along the Gloucester Road
15 Sept. Presentation at the school of the wedding present to Dr. Foster, comprising a silver coffee pot and 2 mustard pots and spoons

15 Nov. Report on three early coins, two of them dug up by the gardener, one at St. Bartholemew's, the other at the Vicarage, and presented to the Vicar. One reported as being very rare
16 Dec. Went to "Mr. T. Merrett's shanty near the blacksmith's shop, now occupied by a shoemaker at 3/- per week"
22 Dec. Alstone Lodge Cheltenham was set on fire by two suffragettes, who did not approve of the magistrates because they were not women
27 Dec. States that "The Old House at Home" (public house) closed down on Christmas Eve
