Driffield Cemetery was administered by the Great Driffield Burial Board, formed in 1864, later by Great Driffield Urban District Council acting as the burial authority. Responsibility for the cemetery was transferred to East Yorkshire Borough Council in 1974 and then to East Riding of Yorkshire Council in 1996.
