Contract No 6/ENG/4744/CB.12(b) SO No.18131: in accordance with the minutes of the Python meeting held on 30 January 1952, an endurance test of 500 hours was made on a Python oil pump modified to Scheme D.9499. This scheme embodied a plain drive shaft between main pump and high pressure pump instead of the previous shear necked coupling
