Letter from the Rev Page Godfrey, Kirmincham Hall, near Congleton, Cheshire to Robert Leslie, Grand Secretary seeking a warrant for a separate Lodge to be formed at Lane End rather than relocating Friendly Brothers' Lodge from Newcastle under Lyme. Godfrey indicates that men released from duties during the Napoleonic Wars will rejoin the Lodge after their return to Newcastle under Lyme. Godfrey asks John Martin, Secrtary to send a Petition to Grand Lodge. Endorsed with draft response to John Martin and William Hyatt, of Mere, Lane End by Robert Leslie seeking an annual return in order to send membership certificates of members at Newcastle and Lane End. A warrant was granted subsequently to form United Potters Lodge, No. 134(B) [erased], [SN 1451], Lane End.

Friendly Brothers' Lodge was granted a warrant by the Antients' Grand Lodge on 21 December 1799 and met at the Roebuck, High Street, Newcastle-?under-?Lyme, Staffordshire as No. 109(B). In 1813 the Antients' Grand Lodge formed a union with the Moderns' Grand Lodge to create the United Grand Lodge of England. The same year the Lodge moved to the Crown Inn, Penkhull Street, Newcastle-?under-?Lyme. In 1814 the Lodge was renumbered to meet as No. 133. The Lodge was erased on 5 March 1828.
