Burgh married the daughter and heiress of Mouthwy who married the daughter and heiress of Corbett.
Burgh had 4 daughters and heiresses, Lingen married one.
John Lingen was possessed of the Manor of Shelve, and left Jane his heiress who married one Shelly.
Jane Shelly dies and Edward Lingen is her cousin and heir being the son of Wm. Lingen who was brother of John Lingen father of Jane Shelly.
The Court of survey taken in Jane Shelley's lifetime and there the meers and bounds of the Manor were taken and set down particularly.
Sir Henry Lingen is descended from Ed. Lingen and in his time a survey taken and the lands measured, inclosed and common and waste grounds, in 1650.
Wm. Ward will swear the bounds and that it is the Common belonging to Shelve and this place now inclosed by Mr. Scarlet is belonging to Shelve and within the m... of the survey.
Note that in the survey 50 Benjamin Ward was one that carried a flag for direction meere to meere according to the survey in 41 Eliz.
