Charles Jenkin, jun., master, and Charles Jenkin, mariner, of the sloop Elizabeth of St Ives, gave evidence that they shipped 120 bushels of salt at Bristol on 19 November, on which duty had been paid, to be carried to St Ives for John Davy of Redruth, which were accidentally lost through bad weather on the voyage; and that 480 bushels being carried for George Blewett were also lost.

Account of Mr Yonge: allowed.

Four gaol and marshalsea rates to be collected and paid to the Vice-treasurer.

Walter Borlase, doctor of laws, and Sir John Glanvill to continue as Treasurers for a further year.

Account of John Eare [Eyre]: allowed.

Peter Care of Towednack, tinner, accused of stealing goods of Michael Baragwanath: acquitted.

Thomas Eddy of St Just, tinner, accused of stealing goods of Thomas Morrice: acquitted.

Appeal by John, Duke of Bedford and Robert Butcher, esq., against poor-rates assessment made on them by the churchwardens and overseers of the poor of St Stephens by Launceston (named as Benjamin Crocker, Thomas Edgcome, Jacob Grigg and Daniel Harvey) on grounds that the appellants did not occupy any lands in such parish: appeal not proceeded with, as the overseers did not appear before Court to produce the assessments, and it was not clear, therefore, what powers were available to the Court to quash or alter the assessments made.

Appeal by George Warmington Bewes, esq., and parishioners of St Stephens by Launceston against the same poor-rates assessment as quoted in QS/1/3/73-75 above, in which they also stated that Robert Pearse, Henry Bray, Edward Dart, John Bate, Peter Broad, John Frost, William Hender, jun., John Gendall, jun., Godfrey Isble, John Sumpter, Thomas Bate, John Allen, Thomas Kingdon, Julius Mann, Thomas Couch, James Bryet, William Bingham, George Avent had been omitted from the assessment: appeal not proceeded with, as the overseers did not appear before them to produce the assessments, and it was not clear, therefore, what powers were available to the Court to quash or alter the assessments made.
