Items DDN 1/1-63 were presented to the National Trust with Rufford Old Hall by the Rt. Hon. the Lord Hesketh, and by them deposited in 1940.
Item DDN 1/64 was deposited by Mrs. G.D. Kennedy of Rugby through P. Ashcroft, Esq., of the Rufford Old Hall Committee, National Trust, 23 June, 1952.
Items DDN 2/1-15, left by William Heelis of Sawrey, deceased, were deposited by C.H.D. Acland, Esq., of Ambleside, for the National Trust 1 August, 1952.
