Ceremony [hcham] at Tso-mo-glin, Lhasa. 'Tsemunling' [Tso-mo-glin] 'house of the Lama Raja at Lassa. The ceremony is that of performing or acting a play. The figures of three of the performers are called kyangkurr and are from Tashi Lumpo' [bKra-sis-lhun-po]', all the rest are called Tushi jhoba' [bKra-sis- ] 'and belong to Lassa.'. 'These plays are performed in the month Dawadunpa' [zla-ba, month; bdun-pa, seventh], or Bhadroon of Hindus, August of ours. Note: Tso-mo-glin was one of the four monastic palaces, or royal monasteries, in Lhasa. The regents who conducted the temporal government during the minority of Dalai Lamas were chosen from the head of these monasteries [glin]. A Lama from Tso-mo-glin was Regent from 1819-1844.
