William Holman (1906-1987) was a night worker in the print room of the Eastern Daily Newspapers all his working life and was consequently able to pursue his interests in the daytime. His diaries contain entries relating to, amongst other things, his local walks, fishing, heraldry, churches, inn and village signs, photography, the weather and trip to the theatre and cinema.
