Verdon about increasing the sittings, 1844, application to the Church Pastoral-Aid Society for a grant, 1847, and a letter from Rev. S.G. Perry about his appointment of a churchwarden, 1852. Administrative / biographical background

St. Anne's was consecrated on 12 August 1799. It was assigned as its District the southern part of the township of Tottington Lower End in the chapelry of Holcombe and parish of Bury, by Order in Council, 13 December 1843 (London Gazette, 23 February 1844). Parts were assigned to the new Districts of Christ Church, Walshaw in 1889 (Order in Council, 28 May, London Gazette, 31 May), St. Mary, Hawkshaw Lane in 1892 (Order in Council, 9 May, London Gazette, 17 August).
