Papers of Robert Beloe on various subjects

Papers of Beloe as a member of the Mauritius Electoral Boundary Commission appointed by the Secretary of State for the Colonies on 15 July 1957. They include, in addition to drafts of the commission's report, evidence, and government telegrams: a photograph of the members of the commission (f.1); a list of candidates for election in 1959 (ff.77-85); a report on the result of the election in 1959 (ff.93-7). The report of the commission was published under the title Report of the Mauritius electoral boundary commission (Mauritius-Legislative-Council Sessional Paper no.1 of 1958). Papers concerning Beloe's appointment to visit the World Council of Churches in Geneva on behalf of the Anglican Communion, with a copy of his report, 1969 (ff.98-112).
