Rev. Thomas John Griffinhoofe late of Pembroke College, Oxford, but now of Coggeshall (co. Essex), clerk, and John Massu Stanley of Langtons (co. Essex), esq.

[Recites: (A) Lease and Release, 1796, as (A) in No. DD/BC/97.

(B) That Rev. R. B. attained age of 21 in 1819, and is desirous that the manor of Hewish, etc., should be discharged from the estate tail under the Act of 3 & 4 William IV, c.74 for the abolition of Fines and Recoveries].

The manor of Hewish and properties described in schedule attached [giving tithe nos., field names and measurements].

(To hold to T. J. G. and J. M. S. to use of sd. R. B. and to various uses [named] affecting Robert Charles Battiscombe (eld. son of R. B.), Albert Henry William B. (second son), Edmund George B. (third son), and Walter Ernest Sax B. (fourth son); with power to sell or exchange). Witn: Rowld. Nevill Bennett, Lincolns Inn; Edward Babington, junr., clerk to Messrs. Jones, Bateman and Bennet, Lincolns Inn. 13 Jan. 1846
