D'Arcy Cooper has received a report from Dr Schulte, Mannheim about the Financial Sales and Manufacturingg situation in Germany, has made a resume of the report in a letter to Leverhulme. "r "nLeverhulme is very critical of Dr Schulte, and feels that he has no knowledge or experience of marketing propriety articles. "r "nThere is extensive discussion about the marketing of products such as Sunlight, Empress Pale, Right Sort, Lux, Vim, Lifebuoy, Blitzmadel soap powder, Rinso, Persil. "r "nThere seem to be too many salesmen for the business. 'There is no glimpse of profit where profit could be taken and a craven fear of articles that are sold at less money.' "r "nThere is a reference to Nurpur and Mittemwalde The original report is GB1752LBC/163/21. see also GB1752LBC/163/20 July 9 1924 "r "n
