Recital of indenture of 1 November 1746 (2897/1) John Biekin by will 26 October 1761 appointed Martin Tomkinson of Basnall farm co Staffs gentleman and Lewis Dickinson of Stafford apothecary deceased executors. Dickinson was the survivor and by will 24 May 1768 appointed his wife Alice executrix. She by will 24 July 1783 appointed her daughters Jane and Frances executrixes. By this the residue of the term of 500 years vests in them.

At a meeting of the marjor part of the Commissioners held at the Talbot Inn, Drayton in Hales, nominated Lee as assignee of the estate instead of Downward who was dead and confirmed to Ray all Davies' property, subject to mortgages, in trust for the Commissioners and creditors

On 5 May 1809 part of the property was put up to auction at the Talbot Inn in Drayton in Hales and Baker purchased lot 8 at £710 subject to a lease of the premises for 14 years from Michaelmas last. This lot was the tanhouse etc

By bargain and sale 13 March last enrolled in Chancery

(A) Robert Joseph Chambers esq, Nathaniel Huson esq and Joseph Hickey gentleman, major part of the Commissioners in a Commission of Bankrupt issued against Sir Matthew Bloxam)
