Description

Folios 190-191. Letter from Walter May Barton, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union, to the Local Government Board. He encloses for the Board's approval a contract for vaccination in the North Elmham district made between the guardians and R S Mosley, Public Vaccinator [not included]. He also returns the schedule of vaccination arrangements forward to him with their letter of 18 March 1885. He further encloses for their attention a special certificate of proficiency in vaccination date 31 March 1885 granted to Mosley by Robert Cary [not included].
'Schedule of Vaccination Arrangements' Form from W M Barton, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union, to Local Government Board, giving the schedule of vaccination arrangements for the district of North Elmham. The form shows that Reginald S Mosley is the Public Vaccinator for the following parishes: North Elmham, Worthing, Bawdeswell, Bylaugh, Foxley, Sparham, Billingford, Bintree, Twyford, Guist, Gately [Gateley], Brisley.
Annotated: 'Approve contract subject: 1, to the word Gately [Gateley] being omitted from the payment clause, there being no vaccination station at that place. 2, to the word 'statutes' being substituted for 'statute' in, and the words "and LGB' added to, the final slip. Return certificate', 18 April 1885.
