The school opened as Bidford-on-Avon Council Senior School in 1938.In 1950 the school became Bidford-on-Avon Secondary Modern School. In 1953 the school's title changed to Bidford-on-Avon County Secondary School. It became a High School in 1957. The school closed in 1985, when its pupils were transferred to Alcester High School.
