Argyle Lodge received a warrant from the Antients' Grand Lodge on 27 August 1800 to meet as No. 321 and named in 1818. The Lodge was a military lodge and travelled with the Ninety-first or Argyle Regiment of Foot, initially based in Cape Town, South Africa where it met at an unknown location. In 1806 the regiment returned England and was based at the Ashford Barracks, Kent. In 1807 the regiment moved to the Fermoy Barracks, Cork, Ireland. From 1809 it appears the regiment was mainly based in Kent, however it did move to several barracks across the County at Deal, Ramsgate, Canterbury and New Brompton. The Lodge was renumbered as No. 406 the year after the Antients' Grand Lodge formed a union with the Moderns' Grand Lodge to form the United Grand Lodge of England in 1813. The Lodge was erased on 5 March 1828.
