Annual returns giving names and professions of members of the Philharmonic Lodge [Moderns] and general correspondence relating to the running of the lodge. Years 1768 - 1773 and 1775 - 1792 are not extant.

Administrative / biographical background

The Philharmonic Lodge was established in 1764 and met at the Club Inn, Wisbech, Isle of Ely, Cambridgeshire. The lodge was named the Philharmonic Lodge in 1774. In 1793 the lodge met at the Red Lion Inn, North Brink, Wisbech and the meetings remained there until 1811 when the lodge was erased.
