Republic of Ireland, east coast: Dublin Bay
Ireland's Eye to Dun Laoghaire. Survey shows coastline, hydrography, anchorages, jetties, topography, roads and settlements. Manuscript. Evidence of (pencil) construction lines; no scale shown. Thought to be a copy of Ordnance Survey maps Numbers 6 and 8. Annotated (in black ink): 'Howth, Ireland's Eye from Mr Thomas' and 'Burford from Fitzmaurice'; also annotated (in pencil): ‘Burford’ and sailing direction. Recieved by the Hydrographic Office prior to 1826, according to Lieutenant Alexander Becher
