Ts. diary (20pp), written from memory in October 1945, recording the activities and operations against Japanese road and rail transport of a party of eight British volunteers left behind the Japanese lines in NegriSembilan, Malaya from January 1942 until their capture in July 1942 and their subsequent interrogation; together with explanatory tss. notes (3pp and 6pp respectively) written in 1983, the one describing Wilson's service as an NCO in the Federated Malay States Volunteer Force following their mobilization in December 1941 and the formation and composition of the 'left behind' party, the other relating his experiences as a prisoner of war in Pudu gaol, Kuala Lumpur in 1942 and then at various camps and hospital camps along the route of the Burma-Siam railway, 1943-45, including Nong Plad uk, Bampong, Wampo and Tarsao.
