Hamnett Raffety, now Raffety Buckland, acted in various capacities for the Mentmore Estate whilst it was owned by the Earls of Rosebery. Originally their role was to manage the tenancies of various houses and buildings on the estate. They then became involved first in the house contents sale and then became joint selling agents for the estate and acted as advisors to the executors of the 6th Earl in all estate matters. The documents cover all of these aspects and include other unconnected sales particulars
