Administrative / biographical background

Records of Manor Farm, Ablington, Bibury, farmed from 1915 by Mr. John Plumbe as a tenant of the Sherborne estate until his death in 1927. After his death the farm was kept on by his son Ashton until his death in 1945. Ashton's sister, Miss Christine Plumbe, sold up the following Michaelmas.
