Description: There are two series of registers until about 1898: the registers for the election of the two parliamentary members for the Borough (DH/B 139) and the ward registers for the election of councillors, auditors and assessors (DH/B 140). The registers, 1898-1913 are missing. From 1918 there is only one series of registers (DH/B 141). There were no registers produced during the war years, 1914-1917 and 1940-1944. They all run from 1 November in the year of publication inclusive to 1 November in the next year exclusive.
