Description

In 1782 the property belonged to the Durrant family and consisted of two parcels of meadow or pasture (23a) called the Upper Lords and Lower Lords Place comprehending the site of the dissolved Priory of St Pancras and lands formerly called the Court and Saffron Garden and Pond. In 1836 it was sold by J M B Durrant to George Harman, builder who then sold to Henry Carter who built a house on it. He took out various mortgages, in 1848 (when it was described as two houses) and 1864. In 1865 William Willett and Henry Carter sold to Henry Goldsmith who then sold the property to George Diplock in 1887.
